The Hivery

The Hivery is a collaborative and creative coworking space where women can pursue their work, passions, ideas and what’s next.

In the Founder's own words: "One thing unites us all: an inner drive to find “work” that fuels us, pushes our potential, and works in the intricacies of our lives. It may be “work” in the traditional sense of the word, or it may be broader, bigger, creative, and even a little crazy. We at The Hivery like that kind of thing. We love big ideas, lots of support, tremendous kindness, time for creativity, a space for soul, and we love the idea of putting you on your own to-do list."

I first discovered The Hivery when the company was only a few desks and tables located on a quiet street in Sausalito, CA. Now, they've moved to a bigger and brighter space in downtown Mill Valley, CA. The rooms are filled with natural light pouring in from the spacious windows and views of tall redwood trees that bring a sense of peace to the workspace. If you've had the pleasure of meeting the founder, Grace Kraaijvanger, then you'll understand why the community has quickly embraced this collaborate space. Grace has an energy about her that is both calming and inspiring--she's always glowing and a kind soul. 

I've reviewed other coworking spaces, but there is something unique about what The Hivery offers. Members range from established arts and photographers, to web designers and print makers. Grace has created a space that fosters community and inspires and guides both personal and professional growth. It's no wonder why The Hivery is my first post in my Loving Lately column. Beyond their coworking space, there are monthly gatherings to showcase the work of the members and offer networking with like-minded entrepreneurs. I've attended countless events and I enjoy hearing the soul searching of other women--I always leave more inspired and energized.
